PAYMENT AND DISCOUNT POLICY FOR GROUP CLASSES

1) Group classes are billed for the entire term. Payment in full is due on the day of the first class unless you’ve worked out another arrangement with us. No refunds will be given for missed classes.

  • The only exception to this policy is Harp Gym, which does allow drop-in registration.

2) Multiple Class/Lesson Discount: We created a discount policy to encourage taking multiple classes! For every class you put into your cart, the price for additional classes will lower by $15 ($5 for Harp Gym drop-in registrations.) This works for up to two registrations for a single class, and any number of different classes.

3) Age and Level for Classes: Our Spring 2023 classes are geared to teens and adults, age 14 and older. If you have a very mature younger student who is interested, please let us know, and we’ll see if we can accommodate them. We are currently offering private lessons for all ages; please email us at fiddleshepherd@gmail.com or use any of the forms on this site. Likewise, if you’d like us to offer youth classes next term, please let us know!

4) Irish Music Masterclass Fine Print: This class accepts six registrations and lasts for 80 minutes. Each week, three students will have an opportunity to perform and receive feedback, with a 15-20 minute Q&A at the end.

  • For example, on weeks 1, 3, 5. and 7, students A, B, and C will perform, and on weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8, students D, E, and F will perform.

  • Each student will thus have four individualized feedback sessions, and four sessions as an auditor.

  • Masterclass is open to any instrument, any level. Think of it as a mini private lesson. A beginner might use this opportunity for coaching on basic exercises or simple pieces. An advanced student might use it for feedback on a performance or competition piece.


PRIVATE LESSON ATTENDANCE AND PAYMENTS

Private lessons are booked in blocks of four lessons directly with the teacher. These do not expire and can be carried over from term to term. Contact us using any of the forms on this website. 24 hours notice is required to cancel and reschedule a lesson without penalty. Lessons that are not cancelled within 24 hours will still be charged and make-up lessons are at the teacher’s discretion. No additional make-up lessons will be available once 2 private lessons are missed and rescheduled without advance cancellation in an 8 week session.
